Mike and Desi Freeman purchased the Post Falls Caruso's Sandwich Co in Aug of 2007. With a chef father, Desi grew up in restaurants. Her dream has always been to open her own store. Mike is a full time nurse. He handles all of the paperwork while Desi runs the store. The couple has three kids and enjoys raising them in a family owned business. They are hands on with all aspects of the business, working side by side with their employees. The Freeman's are a well respected family in the Post Falls community. They give generously to charities such as Christmas For All. This is a fundraiser that they generously donated a full days profit to, at Christmas time.

With four kids, both parents working full time to pay the bills was a necessity. This left little time to raise the four children. Michele had been working at Caruso’s Deli for over three years, and Dave was a personal trainer. They were open to options, but there weren’t many options that would give them the freedom that they were looking for. They wanted to share work and raising the kids. When the opportunity to purchase the deli came along, they snatched it up. They put their strong work ethics and love of life into taking over the store. They have kept the store thriving, and their family has benefited from the business immensely. The kids love going to “work” with mom or dad, and they appreciate having a parent available to come help at school or coach their teams.
